Boarding Out Stud Wall Advice

Also maybe just me but try an use as bigger piece of board you can which will mean less joints that may or may not crack. If you have two studs vertical and the board only goes half way up then add a stud horizontal at the meeting point between the top of one board and the bottom of the other, dont leave any floating edges.
you know that is an absolutly brilliant point about using bigger boards to prevent less joins, I hadn't even considered that. I absolutly dont want to be putting more horizontal joists in, as the PIR boards are already cut to size and installed. Ill live with the bigger boards....Ive got a 17 year old lad who I can hopefully drag in off his xbox to help!
