Why did we give millionaire pensioners £200 quid handouts when children were dying because they could not get the correct medical treatment?

But we didn't if the sums were done. The millionaire pensioners, would be paying thousands already in taxes, which much more than offsets the £200. Not paying them the £200 would have, and has, cost the countries finances more than just simply paying everyone the £200.
