Boohoo hoo

I've I've never heard of boohoohoo.

Do they make gas boilers?

It's akin to the list of 'left wing' millionaires demanding to be taxed more in the name of social justice and to help pay for the damage caused by Covid, and they've all signed a letter that has been made very public.

Of course, despite the fact that although being perfectly entitled to make an additional voluntary payment to HMRC, non of these fine people ever have, I suspect they never will. The virtue signallers on here will be impressed though.

Bill Gates didn't sign the letter, he just quietly hands over more tax and donates billions to worthy causes.

Their spokesperson went on, “We know our customers, and we know what’s important to them, and what isn’t.

“For example, it’s important to them that there is social justice for black victims of police brutality, and it’s not important to them how little we pay people to make cheap clothes for them.

“It’s a pretty good system.

BooHoo stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement. Our decision to employ literal slavery in our warehouses is about reminding everyone how terrible the legacy of slavery has been for black people across the Western world.”

I think it is more a case of fear that if they (Boohoo) didn't say what they have done, they will - in the latest jargon - be 'cancelled'.

As if by divine intervention, a miracle did indeed occur.

No it isn't.

Individuals voluntarily paying more tax won't yield much revenue compared to the govt changing the tax rate for everybody.

Your argument is the same straw man argument as "why don't you house a refugee".

BLM won't make a jot of difference -the electoral college means those few swing states is where it all matters and the Republicans have been suppressing votes.

All Rednecks vote Republican anyway and ironically the best anti Donald adverts have been by a group of disaffected Republican supporters who are unhappy at the alarming shift to the right that the Republican party has taken.

I am surprised that the word" Black"mail is still acceptable.

I won't let Mrs Bod shop with them now and hope they go tits up.

Hypocrisy at its best.

Its going to take a lot of money to pay for the damage caused by Covid.
Those who made the most from the pandemic should pay the most.
