Border on the Island of Ireland

Help me understand. In the case of the UK leaving the EU. Who says there is going to be a border set up.?

Whos going enforce this border. I can't make head nor tail of it.

So we have established that it is the Brexers who are making border checks necessary, while simultaneously saying that they aren't.

I wrote a post that I said that the EU are not prepared for no deal...

Don't keep repeating it boyo. It failed the first time around and you must have been devastated. I can't imagine what you'll be like a second time around.

You're wrong, this time around, we've deployed the big guns.

Well if you can't remember exactly what you've written and where you wrote it (or the inability to search for it), then it's no wonder you can't think of a single benefit of leaving the EU!

Surely somebody would have attached links to the vast amount of documentation arising from the thorough work already done by the EU, showing that you are talking nonsense again? Probably also quotes from Brexers complaining that EU27 were making preparations, whine whine whine.

By the way, did you know, talking about the Irish Border, that it is the Brexers who are making it necessary, by refusing to have treaties with the EU27?

Thanks John. I thought no one was going to bite.

I read it in one of the national papers that the EU are not at all prepared. It's not just my theory John

This is a dangerous moment for the EU. It says that it is prepared for a no-deal Brexit, but we all know this is not true.

Not what our lot think officially...

linky

"The EU and the other 27 Member States have been preparing for a possible no-deal, or 'disorderly', Brexit. The European Commission has had a no-deal preparedness plan which is now complete, and the EU27 have also been implementing their own preparations which will take effect if the UK leaves the EU without a withdrawal agreement at the end of October 2019"

"If the UK leaves the EU without a withdrawal agreement there will be repercussions for the EU as well as the UK. European Commission preparations to mitigate the impact of a no-deal Brexit began in December 2017, and on 25 March 2019 the Commission declared that its no-deal ‘Brexit preparedness’ programme was complete. The Commission has published 98 ‘preparedness notices’ and 46 legislative measures have been proposed or adopted"
