Is that a complicated way of saying that you don't want free movement of people, from the EU, into the UK?
In case you have difficulty understanding the question, free movement means they can come in if they want, no visa or permission needed.
John, I really do believe that every reply appears complicated to you, that's why I try and keep things simple, just for you. Unfortunately, much of the time it doesn't seem to work.
1. I do not want freedom of movement with the EU, I'm happy for visa free travel for holidays, possibly even study at a stretch, but would like to see a 'work permit' situation for eu nationals coming here to work.
It aint hard is it, fill out a form, Roberts your fathers brother.
2. I would expect a soft border with Ireland and a continuation of free movement (and many other rights) with Ireland, as has existed since 1921 and by recent mutual agreement with Ireland, will continue to exist after brexit.
Now, before you start spouting off again about customs unions, there aint no EU customs regulations or 'freedoms' that will change number 2, before that happens, Varadkar will fall even further from Grace, somebody will succeed him, and before you can say "John Claude Junckers drunk again" Ireland will be following us out. Funny, I always thought Italy would be next but the odds are increasing in Irelands favour.
I'm 2nd generation Irish btw, those freedoms allowed my parents to come to this country, their predecessors were involved in the Easter Uprising and some of their forbears were among those who came back from the pub one Sunday afternoon and forgot where they planted the potatoes.
Final word, never underestimate the Paddys, Varadkar has overstepped the mark on EU orders, if he doesn't change tack soon, there might just be another uprising.
