It's a bit tricky. Leavers used to say that resigning would mean £350million a week for the NHS, free access to the Single Market, the Easiest Trade Deal in History, and that German car manufacturers would force the EU to submit to our demands.
Now that those lies have been exposed, they say they never believed them in the first place, and they are willing to accept loss of industry, trade, profits, jobs and prosperity. They say they saw the problems coming but don't mind.
I even saw a couple of Leavers recently saying that they always knew UK would suffer a downturn as a result of Brexit, but they don't believe that anyone who foresaw it would move investments out of UK and into Europe and must be making it up.
Even though arch-Brexer Rees Mogg did the same thing.
