No socialist would ever be found snorting cocaine off the nipples of a Thai ladyboy whilst dining on stuffed endangered animals, washing it all down with a bottle of champagne worth twice the annual salary of the dancing girl whose bottom he is drinking it off.
Hasn't everybody tried that or something very similar then? ;)

D&J suggested that "you only gave your interpretation of his comments which differs from mine. kendor will change everything to suit him/herself anyway."
You might well be right - my experience of kendor is much more limited than yours. But it would be helpful to know your interpretation of kendor's comments. Could you provide this

Yes I thought he meant Tony Martin, but wasn't sure, which is why I asked. You read it again and what do you think a second time?

To me any group of over 60 words, without any punctuation at all, can't be fully and properly understood by anybody. More so when the writer is renowned for knit picking on other peoples comments.

Ah, Hmm, I see. There is history here of course. Not having the history, only working from the words, I don't get the same message as you. If I read it though an imagined context of previous "Tony Martin" dialogue, you could of course be right.

As for the long sentences, they will have some meaning, or sometimes several possible meanings. As a literalist (or alternatively a pedantic git) with a lot of exposure to contracts and business proposals I am well-used to associating meaning (or meanings) with word sequences and
EDIT Well? And what? Sorry about that. Interrupted by phone, have no idea what was going to follow

No I didn't mean you mate.

Panjandrum I accept your comment about poor English in your business life but that is no excuse for his dross.(He once pulled me up for a spelling mistake in the word bureaucracy) He still hasn't said what he means and now says he won't talk to me (or jasy)anymore. This is because he is childish, when you have read more of his contributions you will no doubt form your own opinion.

Regarding the history, yes we have all recently been discussing Tony Martin amongst many other topics. As far as I see it he regards anybody right of communist to be a BNP fascist or such like. He also as trouble seperating posts hence him saying this.

This post and some of the replies just show how Hypocritical some people on this forum can be.
They go on about castrating, hanging, torture, bludgeoning etc when someone on the news commits a crime but when it is a person on this forum that has commited an offence it's bad luck they got caught and how we all make mistakes sometimes! What a two faced lot you are!

Top and bottom is nobody offered any sympathy to ninebob and were all against DD. Ninebob was only telling us about a private mistake he has made and advising us to avoid the same. Before he went off on his tantrum I was in full agreement with kendor and said so.

Kendor I agree with you entirely about the wrongs of DD but my agreement stops there. What on earth have the above comments got to do with it? You are once again confusing different issues. Yes I have no sympathy for ninebob although I wish him well, which is not the same. I would also support a referendum on capital/corporal punishment too. This is because they are totally different issues and I can't see how you can see otherwise. I also think you are wrong in calling anyone an hypocrite, which posts are hypocritical? As I read them some people may feel sorry for him, some admit to doing it themselves in the past too, but who actually supported DD?.

panjandrum, you seem quite articulate to me so I can't see it taking you long to see through him.

btw , its common for us all to moan at each other none of us are all that bothered(including kendor) about it, its no big deal really.

Perhaps not, although he did suggest that my statement of what I understood him to have meant was correct.
Mind you, in the context of all you have said I am reminded that what I understood him to have said may not have been ALL of what he meant to day.
On the subject of sloppy English, I get irritated by those who fall back on "you know what I meant didn't you" when I complain. Hard to better this:
"One should not aim at being possible to understand, but at being impossible to misunderstand"
- Marcus Fabius Quintilianus, AD 35-95.

:D :D It's hard to beat a bit of therapeutic pot-stirring now and again.

PS I'll accept the "articulate" substantive, assuming you aren't suggesting I am a centipede, but even then 'tis faint praise.

I doubt this anus guy said that anyway: English wasn't around until hundreds of years after he died. He would have said something in Latin, probably.

...ALL of what he meant to day.
On the subject of sloppy English...

Yes, I hate sloppy English ;)

AdamW:
Sorry about that - slippy fingers, not sloppy English.
Indeed he would have spoken in Latin. I guess having used the English quote I should have used the anglicised version of his name - but that would have deprived you of the opportunity to make a puerile point.

I did try to find the Latin version but Google has let me down so far.
