If not when did they become boy and girl Scouts?

What happened to Girl Guides?

According to http://www.scouts.org.uk/ , there do seem to be a selection of happy boys & girls on the homepage so I guess it is open to all (and is now just scouts). I'd forgotten about cubs and it looks jolly good fun actually, so I might go and enrol my oldest.

According to http://www.girlguiding.org.uk/new/ , that is still a 'female-only space'.

Also, I note that Peter Duncan from Blue Peter is now the Chief Scout.
