british gas wr1 wireless system alarm flashing red

Hi all

My old neighbour (Betty) as just knocked on my door and asked me to look at her boiler for her. She as a british gas wr1 wireless system what I've not seen before. There is an alarm indecator and its flashing red.
The boiler seems to be working fine the water is hot and the boiler starts when she turns the stat up.

I've told her not to worry and ill do some digging to see why this is.

Can anyone advise what the problem may be?

7 flashes mean its getting a signal from the thermostat.continuosly flashing means the batteries in the thermostat need changing.If its working I would think its the 7 flashes which is normal.

Thanks for your reply. It is continuously flashing so ill change the battery's for her
