Of course it isn't. It's a stupid decision for most clubs but it's legalI thought selective membership was no longer allowed, I'm thinking golf clubs etc.

RubbishNo, she was telling a woman of British nationality that she was not British. She was telling a woman born in Britain that she was not from Britain.
The documents also shed light on how Buckingham Palace negotiated controversial clauses – that remain in place to this day – exempting the Queen and her household from laws that prevent race and sex discrimination.
So ****ing sue me.That's what she said.
You are a racist apologist claiming she didn't.
There's nothing wrong with discussing anything, as long as that anything is discussed in fair, honest and openness. Unfortunately "ism" is so deeply entrenched in some that they can't help themselves in phrasing their comments in an "ism" context.Whilst no one should defend any overt ism taking place, if we're not careful, we're going to end up living in a very vanilla society. Don't say this or you might offend that group, don't say that or you might offend this group.
Kind of connected, it's a bit like some universities voting to ban various subjects from their debating chambers ... their 'debating' chambers for goodness sake!
If we try to construct a society where no one is ever offended by speech and/or literature, what are we left with?
Be very careful what you wish for ...
Usually a word of warning is sufficient, something like, "this programme was recorded in an era when "ism" was considered acceptable".(the year is 2040)
Hi, and welcome to this week's episode of 'let's talk.' Today the panel will discuss language that was commonly used in tv shows and movies as recently as 2029 and whether re-runs of these shows should now be banned to avoid potentially causing offence.
We start by looking at an episode of Eastenders from 2023. Within this episode, the word 'damn' is used three times, the word 'bitch' twice and the word 'bloody' once.
Mike and Mary, welcome to this week's panel. As you both know, the use of any word and/or phrase that has the potential to cause offence has now been banned within any new media and literature as part of the government's 2030 'safe space' policy. In light of this, should the banning of historic media and literature be considered if it contains any word and/or phrase that has the potential to cause offence? In short Mike and Mary, should this pre 2030 episode of Eastenders be banned from future viewings?
Not if it's a continual and persistent reoccurrence throughout one's life.the reaction is over the top.
Some of those on here that are quick to scream 'ism's' either lie about their location or refuse to tell. NOYFB they will say if asked. You’ll be accused of being a creepy stalker should you ask them so much as what county they live in. They must be hard to have a real-life conversation with as they would fiercely uphold their right to answer a question…..DIYnot asks your location and Country in your profile, there on the left.
I now feel abused
It's only when they don't believe you and insist on repeatedly asking you, that it becomes abuse.DIYnot asks your location and Country in your profile, there on the left.

I've often been asked if I'm a Hindu, never taken any offense. You'll be telling me next that you've never experienced racism based on your skin colour.

Someone I once met asked me my name. Bloody cheek….I've often been asked if I'm a Hindu, never taken any offense.
