I've checked the manual and rechecked it, it doesn't list the fuel pump relay at all in any of the fuse boxes. So confused.

Find the fuse or link that when pulled stops the hum that fuse or link will be labelled that will then confirm if it is the fuel pump running all the time.
sorry not much more to offer

I'm going to have to go through them all again, there must be one I've missed. It's driving me insane. I'm resorting to disconnecting the battery over night so as not to drain it

Hi guys was wondering if anybody found out where the fuel pump relay is located, my car is a 2006 xsara picasso 1.6hdi

After replacing what I believed to be a dead battery my car is once again dead.
Jumped it and runs fine however when switched off can hear an electrical humming sound from under the car, disconnected the battery and noise stops so assuming the fuel pump relay has gone. However for the life of me I cannot find the bloody thing. Does anyone have a picture of where the fuel pump relay is on at 57 plate Citroën C4 grand Picasso 1.8?

A bit of research suggests it might be absolutely anywhere - it's black, oblong, with a moulded into the case fixing bracket and plugs into the loom via a flat 7 pin plug.

What has possibly happened, is that the relay contacts have welded up. If you can open the relay up, you might be able to part the contacts and fettle their faces.

Hi mate..doesnt say if your car is petrol or diesel...if it is a diesel with a particulate filter...could be the additive pump..have changed a few
