Hi folks,

I'm planning a solar installation where the panels, batteries and inverter will be around 130m from the house.
Looking at the online calculators I'd need 10mm2 armoured buried).

If I switched loads / circuits when inverter is online then this should be OK. If I use a grid-tie inverter then this will not work as the voltage drop would be 10V at 5KW.

Is this the right / only solution or is there a remote sense I should look into?

Consider having the inverter at the house where it is easier to get at.

IIRC losses in the cable will be lower too.
