In a way I despair when I read articles like that and see threads like this. And btw I don't mean that against any of the posters or views held, to which we're all entitled. I despair because it affirms what most of us probably already know. Humankind is destined never to 'get on' with each other in a global sense. We simply can't do it. Whether it's issues relating to money, religion, historic events, class, race, isolationism, whatever, we simply can't get along.
If for example we look at the black / white issue here in the UK, I wonder what those with strong views on both sides would put forward as their list of things that would put the issue to bed once and for all. So, and intentionally referring to someone with strong views, what would appease Dr Kehinde Andrews to such an extent that he would say 'job done, I can put my feet up now.' And the same for someone on white side of the debate (can't think of an equivalent when typing this.)
I suspect the answer is nothing would appease these people, and millions more around the globe. I suspect we could come back a 100 years from now and it'll be the same, or indeed worse.
