Can you really vote for little rich boy?

I can't wait to see who other people vote in. I think politics is so exciting.

No matter which political party comes to power, there will be at least 95% of the country unhappy about one thing or another.

We are a nation of moaners.

In answer to the original question - no I can't, and I'm finding it hard to believe that so many people, including many on this forum, feel that they can.
Just because the present government is crap doesn't mean that Lord Snooty and his chums will do a better job. None of our political leaders have ever had what you'd call a 'proper' job, but at least the lot we've got now have had over a decade's practice in power.
I think it's niaive in the extreme to think that things will improve with a change of party. No government in history has ever had enough money to do all the things it wants to whether its feeding the unemployed, or giving tax breaks to the super-rich. We, the ones in the middle, will pay for their policies regardless of the colour of the party.
Just get out and vote according to your conscience. Ultimately it's a matter of belief akin to religion so don't expect to convert anyone with the cogency of your argument.

Does not mean that lord smooty will do a worse job either ??? I probably won't vote any way , but if I were to I don't really care what some one's background is or wether they went to private school ect ect , labour will when the chip's are down alway's play the working class , socialist card ,
I for one will not buy it !!!

What do the following Nulabia people have in common?

ALL public-school educated.
Keep that quiet, don't they?

I remember a R5 phone in where some bloke phoned in and said "I like Tony Blair , he's an ordinary guy just like us"

The British voters are some of the most guliable around and will simply fall for the biggest Bullshitter- which ever side he/she is on...

The so-called swinging voter politically obtuse idiot that changes our governments amuses me. One year they are socialist the next they are capitalist then socialist again. They clearly don't have a clue about politics and simply vote for the leader they 'like' or their Wag missus. "Oh I like her". These are the people that actually change out governments yet they are clueless.

If the polls are to be believed, either Labour or Conservatives will win.
Third option is a hung parliament - which will mean nothing gets done except arguing. People really need to get a grip and vote based on policy not cheesy smiles or what dresses the politicians wife wears.
Have a read of a recent report I've found (March 2010)..

"The Bank for International Settlements point to the UK as being the worst placed of any major economy.
On current policies, they project that by 2040 government debt interest payments in the UK will have ballooned from their current level under 3% of GDP up to nearly 30% - worse than any other country.
Or to put it another way, by 2040 the average family would be paying (in today's money) over £10 grand every year just to pay the government's debt interest bill.
And by 2040, the BIS estimates that our official public sector debt (ie excluding Enron items like public sector pensions) will be a staggering 550% of GDP."

I'll highlight the good bit - £10k per year JUST TO COVER THE INTEREST.

Can't really continue can it? We need public spending cuts, big ones, huge ones. That's what we're voting on. Posh boy will cut, Winky won't.
I'd like to vote UKIP as we'd be out of europe and saving the billions we give to Brussels every year, but really for the sake of the country I should vote 'posh'.

Totally agree Gordon.
New labours brand of socialism just isn't working. The high borrowing has just led the country into near ruin.
Does brownarze or his other cohorts care? They don't give a damn!

The new labour politicians will go off (win or lose) with their huge payoffs and excessive pensions leaving the tax payer lumbered with the debt bill for decades to come.

Wasn't Margaret Thatcher the one who said that socialism works until you have to pay back the money you borrowed?
That sums up the whole problem with it pretty well.

Greece is a socialist country that is about to completely financially collapse unless they sell off their territory to other countries or find some other radical plan to implement.
To be blunt, they are completely screwed, along with other European countries.

Sure, everyone is happy living under socialism for a while when they are getting all these government benefits and living in a false fantasy, but in the end, the majority suffers, rather than a few under capitalism.

Capitalism is far from flawless, but so far, it is the most successful of any form of economics.
It can correct its mistakes and has done so throughout UK history;
The theory is that under capitalism, you have a small amount of people who suffer, whereas under socialism, everyone does well for the time being and in the end, everyone suffers.
Capitialism rules!
Vote Tory if you want to save the country!

But new labour isn't a socialist party. They are the ones that gave the banks free rein to work their capitalist wonders.

If you vote Tory then Rich Boy will just squeeze in - but will be bu**ered from the start. Labour and the Libs will block everything in parliament. He'll be a lame duck just like John Major.

A vote for Rich Boy is the worst way to vote.

They are the ones that gave the banks free rein to work their capitalist wonders

The banks were a source of huge income to the broken finances of nu labour. That's the only reason they were given free rein.
They were warned by leading economists not to go down this path.
Of course the people in their greed lapped it up.
Which of course is why I now know so many people in negative equity with huge mortgages barely able to pay them off.

If you vote Tory then Rich Boy will just squeeze in -A vote for Rich Boy is the worst way to vote.
Never thought you'd be one to have the green eyed envy, unless of course you wear your heart on your sleeve.

When the alternative is to vote for the lying thieving idiot brown and his cronies, people like the looney left anti-male bigot Harriet Harman, the slimy deceitful pocket lining crook Mandelson and the untrustworthy Ed Balls and Tweedledum and Tweedledee (the milibands), then the Tories are by far away a better bet.

Labour have wrecked the economy (remember they raided 8 Billion out the pension funds, and THEN sold all our gold reserves, £130B worth for practically nothing). Then there's all the lies they have told us, such as the promise of a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty, and ofc lets not forget dragging us into an illegal war just suck Americas cock, and so Blair could make £20M for his own pocket, and then were not even going to start on the destruction of our legal rights and civil liberties Labour has engineered, along with the attack the working conditions of the poor by letting in 3 million immigrants. And then we get to the billions wasted on the NHS , theres now three times as many pen pushers as nursing staff, and then the destruction of the education system and the destruction of the Universities to talk about, and not to mentino the ruination of UK Policing by 'targets' and political correctness, turning the Police into a cross between the Stasi and the fund raising arm of the government. Labour has well and truly ruined every single thing its interfered with.

Now, apart from the fact Cameron has more money that you, can you suggest any other reason, like those above listed for Labour, why we shouldnt put him in power? Because voting labour will just get you 5 more years of lying, incompetence, thieving, and bullshit from labour and the sort of crap listed above.

As for Labour and Socialism, we havent had a socialist goverment for 28 years. Blair pinched all of Thatcher polices and mwethods lock stock and Barrel. When you voted Blair, you were voting Tory, and its been like that ever since. By voting Tory now your voting for a more left wing party than Labour is. Labour = Thacherism in Orwellian clothing. He must be turning in his grave.

Because voting labour will just get you 5 more years of lying, incompetence, thieving, and bulls**t from labour and the sort of crap listed above.
But there again we will know excactly what we are getting

Vote BNP for real change.

Tired of people not being forced into military service and trained in sub machine guns?#
Do you think the government should be able to strip anyone who doesn't agree with its policies of their vote in the future?#
Do you think that all black people should be shipped out to their ancestral countries #(and if you don't know where that is just to "Kick them out of a plane over Africa*) ?
Want every country in the world to treat Britain as a leper after they cut all links with every other country#??

Then Vote BNP.
We will bring you change...we did not say it would be for the better

all information lifted from recorded speechs* and the BNP manifesto#

Well you can be sure you wont get it for the first term with the Tories, because they will be too keen to be elected for a second time. And if we do, they you throw them out. Thats how the damn system works!!

The whole problem is that in our world a vote isn't simply for the best party - it's a popularity contest. All the parties know that, so those that can throw the biggest party get elected. Thatcher and Blair were the main culprits. S*d tomorrow - let's party today. Whoever gets in this time will be a total flop - another John Major or James Callaghan. To make change you need a massive majority - but neither party will get it. My guess is that Cameron will just get in with a slender majority - but far too week to make any real change - so the show rolls on. He'll be the most unpopular leader in recent history. There may well be riots in the streets when he tries to cut back on welfare while giving tax cuts to the rich. But that's what he's got to do - that's what the rich pay his party to do. It's gonna be a complete fiasco.
