We went early...
stopped at the M6 service station , in Cumbria , wonderful breakfast , I was driving the beamer ,7 series .....w regd , 1st time for awhile , flying machine , as now sober ...I like it ....
we then went off to the A road an then dirt track too Cartmel ...
now coming down the valley ...
Cartmel is outstanding in its beauty ,
we lined up ,
an went on the fields £17.00 each in the car ..lol
nothing compared to other midland race days ,
its twice that to get in an not at finish post ,
we dodged all the gazebos an wind cheaters /tents ,
an got to the race course ,
I tuck a fold up comfy chair
an set me stall up next to the win line , bookie line ...
Maria an tracy /an the other one went off in the beer tents , as I usually do ....
I sat there like nobbie no mates ,
as I sat there the lady on the bookers stall ,
She said do I want a drink ,
I will have a coffee , thankyou ,I replied ..
as she come back
I went to get me money out
she Said
No thats on me,! LOL ..
an Sandra stood talking for a good while , as we chatted like good pals ,
an then said she needed to help her dad on the bookie stall ,
Anyway when races started the loonie tunes were back ,
an my wife was draped over me ..
I gave her a £20 for the 1st horse , which she put on for me an her , an chatted with this nice girl , til she come back ....
my lady ....!
Facking face thunder ...you been chatting women up . I got my ticket an an the horses were off ,
once around the course then on the home straight ,
great stuff , I had some young girl sat on my knee as I was at winner post .....ignoring this whinnning ..lol
I would love to remember the horse name , but cant , but it romped home ,
lil kid on knee got flicked off ,
as I jumped up cheering an shouting ,
on the tenner bet it was £70
but a thrill ,
THEN a punch in my shoulder off this Sandra,one who she believed I was a cripple , omfg ..lol
an I had been A REAL SH*T WITH HER ...
AN I HAD LET HER DOWN ,hmmmm ..LOL ..LOL ..lol
My missus loved this to bits an calls me ironside at the moment ..lol
at the races we had 3 winners out of 6 , not bad , her sister an whoever nothing ,
another thrill was meeting an stroking a 2 ft OWL , on a charity help rescue Owl stall ..

.......as we came away £200 up on £100 stake each
we had a GREAT TIME ...an cannot fault CARTMEL for a Full day Out...
fully recommend for ALL the Family , as funfair in middle of course for kids ..
