Cat got run over :(

................. because animals don't torture...........

You've not seen a cat disembowel a vole then, then keep pawing the wretched thing back to itself as it tries to escape, rather than cleanly killing it.
I'm sure the vole felt like they were being tortured, regardless of the cat's motives.

Yeah, cats can be little b's..
However, they are dumb animals. People aren't (supposed) to be dumb and I've never heard of a cat who's trigger happy with bombs and wars.

Still, I suppose given the chance? :)

You know that there's absolutely nothing wrong with loving your pet.
Correct.

We know you are not fond of animals, esp dogs
Wrong. I think working dogs are incredible and I admire cats and the way they hunt to live.

It is true to say I am not a pet person. I like family holidays and pets can get in the way of that. I abstain from the club whereby fellow pet owners enjoy looking after one another's pets. Just don't come knocking on my door because the reciprocal arrangement will be severely one sided. We do look after the FIL's dog now and again and he's a fine animal.

My (childless) old gaffer had pet dogs (setters) as do a lot of childless people. When each of them died I had to dig the huge hole. All six of them. My bonkers spinster auntie has several cats and treats them like her own offspring.

.
No I don't have children. I had ovarian cancer at 30, I am unable to have children.
That's ****ty and I am genuinely sorry for you.

P.S. I would not think twice about beating anyone's pet to death if it threatened my childs' life, nor would any court convict me.

what if it was another bully child, tried to bully your child or threatened your child's life, as for me, yes I would also know when to draw a line, even if it was my own cat attacking another human, I would step in and try to seperate the two and if necessary sadly I will have to kill my pet if that is what is needed doing, I know the value of humanity, I also know there are millions upon millions of good humans on this planet, humanity is not totally dead yet, I wish more were in this humanity pool.

I was once visiting my tenant, where I also had a rescued cat, so tenants agreed to look after it, one day some friends of the tenants were visiting, they left a baby cot with a small 6months baby inside alone whilst they all went outside in the garden to have a smoke, I was horrified when I saw my cat sitting calmly near the cot, on the same sofa, so had a nasty go at my tenants visitors for being irresponsible as if that cat had attacked the baby the consequences would be bad for everyone, including me, as I would missing a cat I rescued and looked after for 4 years.

If it was my child, understanding English would be no barrier, he would soon learn, the meaning of instant justice.

@op Sorry to hear that. I was surprised how upset I was when I finally had to take my 20 yo cat to be put down. Had to pay the vet's upfront (my choice) and bloody so and so kept his eyes open all the way.. the guilt trip was huge. RIP Charlie.

A house cat cannot kill a baby by attacking it so it would make no sense to kill the cat. A cat can kill involuntarily by going to sleep on the baby's face, but that also would not be a reason to kill the cat.
