quick update (better late than never):


been to vets. has a mouth infection, but he says he doubts thats the cause. but he also found a lump in his intestines

goin to the vets again on tuesday but i doubt he will be coming back... he doesnt eat anymore and is rapidly loosing weight

Andy I am so sorry. Say your goodbyes before he goes in for surgery that way at least you'll know you've done it if he doesn't come out.

We'll all be routing for the little chap though and hoping he pulls through I've lost every single one of my cats on quiet roads outside our houses - I'll never have another unless it's a housecat, I feel like I am jinxed with them.

so sorry andy....it's tough. since the kitty won't eat, try putting a toy or favorite thing close to him....if he likes catnip....try that.. they're like people...i think...even when they feel bad or are close to death...they feel comfort in something familiar....this was meant to make you feel better...i hope i didnt make it worse

Poor chap.

When I'm in a philosophical mood I often wonder: is it better to be ignorant as a cat or a dog might be about the gravity of such a situation, or is it better to know that you are ill?

You've done everything you can for him, so IF the worst does happen on Tuesday, your mind won't be on "if only I had done x or y".

My fingers are crossed though...

my lil Puss just went to nothing in days not eating in the end i can see its a blessing for her when she went ,
at least you can be strong as you can be when he has to Go..
My many thoughts go out to you an family at this awful time ...
Even writing this has brought tears to my eyes ...






Please remember it will get better , an there are loads of very beautiful house trained adult cats at the Rspca ... desperate for a Loving home ...

he's gettin worse. he hasnt ate for over 2 days, he doesnt seem to be able to stand anymore. he gets somewhere and then sits down. touch him an he sometimes loses balance. definatly not looking good.

andy...I don't know what to say...it is heartbreaking to hear so I know it is worse when they are there and you can't do anything to make them all better. I'm lookin at my three....asleep together and I'm thankful that I have them....it would absolutely break my heart if anything should happen to them. Give your babe some extra love....my thoughts are with you all.

hes gettin loads of attention etc, but there is nothin that will please him. he'd rather sit in the bath with some water.... but he doesnt seem to want to drink it. must be awful for him, must be tired and weak by now. no food for 2 days, very little for the last week, cant get him to eat anything, not even his favourite treats

andy...i'm just guessin, but sometimes when a cat sits in the tub...it's because it is cool....and it feels good if they have a temperature spike...you might try a cool slightly damp cloth and rubbing him on the back....if he likes it, fine....but it doesn't hurt him either.
