so if there is no light im a coal mine and you cant see anything, you flick your night vision gogles to on. there is no light so how can the night vision goggles work if there is no light.

I do have some light but still. The ebay camera was just totally crap at night vision, even with light. I were saying that this other camera is much better but still had the noise issue.
So is this pecan still poor then?

night vision goggles amplify the existing light, if pitch black or no light theres nothing to amplify - ie natural light

get a honeywell, vista, panasonic true day night, your problems will be solved, i dont know about any other brands cos i wont use them

Wouldn't use either of them.
You are correct regarding the second one.
The first one, that style can be prone to LED flare - virtually useless pics at night. The seal round the lens/mount needs to be good against the dome. Any gap and the LED will simply reflect and washout the image.
More trouble than they're worth so stopped using them.
