Central heating pump running constantly and boiler misfiring

Interestingly too even if I turn off the pump now. The boiler will still whir as if its going to fire up.
Well, as others have said, probably a job for a decent heating engineer (sounds like you’re struggling to find one though). If you could find the voltage then that’s half the battle.

"It runs on a 2 zone system for heating, thermostat in living room for downstairs and hallway for upstairs. With a seperate water programmer under the boiler."
But not the valve arrangement, which could be the explanation of the continous running.
The OP, since he apologised to you even though he hadn't done anything wrong
I don't see the logic of that. I hadn't accused him of anything, or wanted, or expected an apology. In any case, my #24 was only a bit of fun, hence the :)

Normally the pump would be connected to the boiler in order to provide pump over run.

If boiler is in cold area they sometimes run pump if boiler is at less that 5 C as a frost protection precaution!

Boiler also firing Tony.
Also pump was running during summer. OP selected null speed setting to disable the pump. Boiler would still be firing but heat from it going nowhere as pump not spinning now.
