yes l would say it,s pretty rude, when l have gave the facts as it is.All the boiler lights are lit,but nothing gets hot.The fan like l said blows cold air, and the pipes are cold at the boiler, but the burner is on.
He does NOT mean "the boiler is lit" which to a registered installer means the gas is burning! All he means is the pretty lights on the front of the boiler are lit. Probably including the flame failure light too!
Early on he said "all the boiler lights are on, boiler on, fan on, pilot on, burner on". Us in the trade know that the burner CANNOT be on if the flue outlet and flow pipes are cold. Burning gas produces heat and it has to go somewhere!
He could read the user instructions and reset the boiler and confirm that the gas supply is on by checking the gas cooker is working and then retry the boiler before calling the CORGI registered engineeer.
It is surprising how many boiler "faults" are caused by failure to charge up a gas prepayment card!
people like you are sarcastic prats, l know what l have checked, and was asking for some help.A GOOD corgi installer is who l need to talk to, not monkeys like you

Pleasant....lets hope you get the engineer you deserve. If the fault really is as you have described its a member of the magic circle you need not corgi
