Hi All,

Just wondering if someone could help, I have a 3 gang light switch that I'm changing.

One switch is for a outdoor light, one is for a internal light and one is for a dual switch light. (Landing light, so switch at the top of the stairs)

It has the following connections at the rear

A1, A2, ACOM
B1, B2, BCOM
C1, C2, CCOM

A1 has a yellow wire in, A2 has a blue in

B1 has a blue in, B2 is empty

ACOM has a red in,
BCOM has a red in which is also piggybacking to CCOM

C1 has a yellow in, C2 is empty

The new light switch I've bought has the following connections which are throwing me a bit

COM1, L12 L11
COM2, L22, L21
COM 3, L32, L31
(pics of new switch vs old attached. Bad photo of the already wired switch though, apologies)

...and your new switch is metal and needs an earth connection.
Hopefully there is an earth wire/s in your existing metal back box.

Yep, I took the earth from the backbox and earthed directly on the faceplate first time round. Think it gets overlooked commonly
