Charging points on lampposts

Just been out with the pooch, saw a small blue LED on a lamppost and had to investigate. Siemens simple socket was written on the small card, along with a QR code. Seems someone has had a brainwave and are fitting EV charging points on street furniture.

I guess some bollard type "spurs" could also pick up power from nearby lighting if necessary.

I wonder if there is anything to stop a nasty neighbour unplugging your car in the night, so you wake up with not enough battery to get to work...

Yes, I think most EVs lock the charger in place once you connect it.
