Difficult to get an informed account of what's going on & what prognosis may be.

USA is saying the variants active in China are accounting for 20% of cases in the US north east. That may be the most useful bit of info out there; the yanks should find out whether vaccines are effective, etc. I don't see anyone panicking

Hong Kong has decided now is a perfect time to relax covid restrictions, while Taiwan, Japan and Italy reintroduces covid tests for new arrivals from China. The U.S is looking into it but the UK hasn't decided how to get Bre*it done yet, so maybe next year they'll look into this covid thing.

Well that's a total bunch of ******. My wife and I are fully jabbed up. Had our booster a couple weeks ago. We have avoided the chinese plague since it started up untill just before Christmas. Had a cough and tested positive. Although to be honest the only symptoms we had was a cough and if we hadn't have had any tests in the house that is all we would have put it down to, a cough, and we would have carried on as normal.

Very true. Why - simple it's China.
There original idea and no one was critical about it was to relax when 80% of the population had been vaccinated.

Past that a lot of it is seems with no proof.

Recent reports have mentioned why they had the zero tolerance approach. Population size and being able to cope with wide spread infection. Now that has become fact or has it?

Their vaccines. Reports from various places are mixed. It's a fact that so far none available last and it seems natural doesn't either.
