After reading through some posts here about combi's, and having been interested in possibly having one installed next year, probably in spring time, i have a few questions that i'd like to ask the experts ! ...

is the flow rate good, i have been told that if you have 2 hot taps on at once, or one hot and one cold even, then the flow rate is poor and the temperatue is also poor too.

is a combi a good idea for a 3 bed house, or is it best suited for flats or smaller 1-2 bedroom houses?

what bar pressure is aceptable ? in my area i believe we have about 2-2.5 bar, but am not sure for definite.

are they long lasting? i see a lot of posts on this site about a diverter valve inside them failing!!

finally, what are the best makes/models to get from your experience/in your opinions?

I'm no expert, but ...

You would be reliant on mains pressure throughout - this is a finite resource, so open up two taps and you get half of the resource to each - regardless of whether it is hot or cold

Very few here would say it is a good idea

Fine

Virtually no modern boiler is long-lasting, except maybe an Ideal Classic HE. An external diverter valve also can and will fail as will all the other components

finally, what are the best makes/models to get from your experience/in your opinions?

Vaillant imo but others will think differently
