When a person gets a long sentence, ie 15 yrs/ life, you are allowed to go off the rails for a few yrs.
After that, you "accept" your sentence and are expected to, cool down, anything before your acceptance', is normally "dropped", say you was given extra time for beating an officer, is normally dealt with indoors, obviously depending on the seriousness of the offence, then it all gets forgot about, and you original sentence is back to normal
These pair of ****ers are dangerous,
They have nothing to lose by stabbing a screw to death, they know the chance of them getting out are very slim, so we don't annoy them by giving them a bigger sentence.
What should of happened, is give them only 20 yrs at the beginning, so they could see a chance of seeing their release date.
Then take it away when they get a bit older, like they did with myra hindley.
