Surely as there's been a new rcbo fitted and this doesn't trip there is no fault on the ligting circuit?

One could assume that but only if one was 100% certain that the new RCBO was operating correctly. Did the "electrician" ramp test the new RCBO to prove it was working and tripping at the correct differential current. ( The test button does NOT fully test the RCBO )

If the old RCBO did not trip before the CU was moved can you explain why it did after the CU was moved. ?

It is your safety that is the concern.
