Hi guys
Im just in the process of beading my plasterboard. Ive never done this before, and Ive been learning from reading here and youTube.

Ive put my edge beads up using a staple gun, as Id read this was the preferred method by many.

They are nice and flush, but I wouldn't say they feel rock solid. I can scrape a trowel over then and they dont fall off....but there is some movement.

How solid do they need to be? I dont want a grumpy plasterer.

Some use glue gun.
Some use super glue.
Some use staples.
There is even a double sided tape for the job.
Imo the best thing is clear Stixall or CT1.
Always a blob at the bottom where it may take a hit.
I used stixall for years. Spray can of multi solve to clean off mastic if required.

Staple gun I tried for a while but no adjustment. With the mastic you can adjust for 20 mins and plaster over straight away if you want. No need to wait for it to dry
