She does have poison and traps down and has caught a few of the little blighters.

Well assuming these mice can't fly and are not parachutists, I would start at the bottom.

I take it you have never had a problem with mice then

Thanks for the help. I think the cables need to be replaced now and not if and when the rodent problem is solved. So I will tell her whats what and go from there.
