The other half swears by this
Leave it in as long as poss, and no I don't work for Harpic
And you pour it on the bowl not into the water.
Take a photo, show it to the old git and tell hem how much he is going to have to pay for a new toilet now.
The tightfistedness in him may well decide that it's better to flush instead
I am trying coca cola tonight.Cheap coca cola, go to lids/ aldis, and spend £1-£1.50 on cola
Last thing at night pour the three bottles of cola down the loo
In the morning , flush the loo
If it does not work you will have lost £1.50.
If it does you wil smile, happy days
This looks just the job but I would not want qty 6. Is is possible to get one anywhere?
FWIW, better off emptying the bowl of water first rather than dilute the active agent. You can use a small bowl or a cloth (wrung out) or even a baster to remove the water.
Look on the bright side. It will make any skid marks less noticeable!Coco cola has not worked overnight.
Thanks all for help
Parazone Bleach Blocks in the cistern are I find good for gradual scale removal and keeping clean. You will see that over time they break up and dissolve scale in the cistern and under the rim.
I would go for denture tablets next. Put a bucket of hot tapwater (not boiling) into the pan first.
You are using a stiff nylon loo brush as well as the cleaning materials?

Thanks.
For the last two nights I have used another version of Harpic - Power Plus Max 10 Actions.
Together with the tip about using a nylon brush (I used a cloth as was worried to scratch it) all the visible stuff has gone.
I put my head in the bowl and could see a load of nasty black stuff up the bend otherwise it all looks
nice and back to new.
Thanks all for help.
