I was about to order 32mm deking from Buildbase, at what I think is a reasonable cost.
My wife then pointed out a Marketplace ad for “28mm Redwood” decking for approximately 75% of the price.
As it happens fe is “friends” with quite a few people I recognise, although that is obviously no guarantee of being genuine.
The questions are: On googling, it seems that 28mm is okay for domestic decks , my old was 32 - is there any reason not go use 28?
What, exactly, is “Redwood”? Again, A Google implied it is Pine. What is “regular” decking normally made from, and is Redwood in any way a Premium (or otherwise) product?
What is the maximum centres for the joists, and is C16 okay, domestically?
Thanks
