Words written on the shell casings found at the scene of the assassinated CEO of American 'health care' company United Healthcare Ltd.

What has been shocking Is the public reaction to his death.

I hear Linked In usage has rocketed this week.

Lots of interest in CEOs of major companies, especially biogs, photos, names of their yachts, locations of beach homes and favourite golf courses.

I hope their health insurance is up to date.

In some respects the public reaction to this guys death is understandable, even if it is wrong.
It seems he got a 10 million dollar bonus for "cost savings" he made for the company.

Some things shouldn't be left to market forces, health care like clean water should be a basic right in a civilised country.

People in NYC have expressed surprise he went about town without a security detail: a sign of the times and a foreshadowing of times to come, perhaps. The wealth gap has increased so much that alot of people are no longer prepared to put up with it... and are prepared to do something about it.

Strange that you should mention that...

"The safety of tap water in the UK could be at risk because water companies are unable to use products to clean it, industry insiders have said, as all the laboratories that test and certify the chemicals have shut down"

"People in the industry have called it a “Brexit problem” because EU countries will share laboratory capacity from 2026, meaning that if the UK was still in the EU, water companies would be able to use products that passed tests on the continent"

"But UK rules mean products cannot be tested abroad; they have to be tested in the country in a certified lab, of which there are now none"

Linky Linky

I guess the UK isn't a civilised country after all ;)

And MP's here have expressed similar safety concerns...

The problem is they do sod all to do anything about that wealth gap!

Best larf of my week was hearing Reform are more popular than Labour these days...some folk, including certain individuals on the forum, seem to think they'd make it all better and redistribute the wealth, stop illegal migration and bring back proper pint pots. All we'd see is the real agenda, by allowing the Free Market to 'decide' how the national wealth is used to line their own pockets. It's not as bad as the States - yet,

Far rage may be more personally popular than Kieth but that means little in the context of seats in the commons

“Today, we mourn the death of . . . Brian Thompson, gunned down . . . wait I’m sorry — today we mourn the deaths of 68,000 Americans who needlessly die each year so that insurance company execs like Brian Thompson can become multimillionaires,” said Anthony Zenkus, a lecturer at New York’s Columbia University in a post on X that was viewed millions of times."

The Americal medical industry is unusual in being designed to be as expensive as possible, so that everybody who gets a slice of the cake gets a bigger slice.

I understand that it impossible to reform it, because so many people make so much money out of it.

It operates to the benefit of everybody.

Except the patients, of course, and those who pay or do without treatment. Or both.

Reform without Nigel is nothing.
Same with UKIP, one Nigel left, it became irrelevant.
Reform is just a cult, the cult of Nigel.

I read that some parts of the country are being advised to drink bottled water.
That sort of advice used to be given to tourists who were going to some faraway country in the 3rd world.
