Hello

So, screw fix in my area deliver via the sprint delivery 60mins, however my home is over looked, and I don’t think I can get it delivered as they call it out of town. My home is the last house on the outskirts of the city, and its military things further out, but you can’t access the road that surrounds the city from my home, as my home is near the base of a massive cliff.

Here is a sketch of my home and with where screw fix delivers.

Now, Toolstation has announced that they will now deliver via another carrier but from what I can see, it maybe just for trade, using Tradekart in just 30 minutes.

I am disabled and if the hospital says today that they will amputate my leg, I would be queuing outside yesterday. (If this was likely to be successful in pain reduction).

Have you eneterd your details into an order and been told they won't deliver to your post code. If not then place an order and see what happens. I'm sure the driver will walk down the footpath to your house.

Post code yes, house no. No

Customer support say that my home is in a military installation and won’t deliver here. Even though it’s not, we have had this problem since we moved here back in the 90’s when I was a child. Yes I am 36 but still live at home, as I am disabled and autistic.

Anyway yeah we have had problems with WiFi, but the fastest speed counteracts it now, but phone calls via mobile phones is patchy, and there are so called “dead zones” where there is no decent signal strength, WiFi, phone networks, Bluetooth, fm radio etc but we do get fast jets that go over our house, that are so slow and fast the house shakes, and we have to stick our hang pictures to the walls else they either fall off of no longer level.

Because my card details and address is on the system screw fix have refused to deliver thinking they would deliver to the house they do, I meet them outside that house, (with myself having id and order details) but they clicked on, and now won’t accept any orders for delivery both next day, or the 60 minute orders.

2 out of 8 main delivery companies won’t deliver here… well, just one really, but the other guy hates me as I take too long getting to the door, it’s like 60% of the time I can’t walk, unless I have had loads of morphine. I am getting completely off topic, but I don’t know if there is a just eat, or Uber eats type of the thing, where you get DIY stuff delivered, which I think that is what Toolstation are going to be doing, but I think that’s trade only?

Have you a friend or rellie close by who can receive deliveries on your behalf and who you can pick them up from (or get them picked up for you)?
