yep brilliant bit off kit
long lengths fully supported
easy to cut repeat lengths the same

Thanks big-all.

I've been looking at these for a while and I am very keen to know if they will fit my MAKITA saw. I've trawled the web trying to find out if they will but it is still not clear. Yes I can make a ply base and affix my MAKITA to that then to the DW stand but I would rather not if it will fit.

The MAKITA stands are just not up to scratch AFAIK.

Can I be really cheeky and ask you please if you can measure your runners and let me know the width of bolt gap plus the maximum distance of the slots.

I know it's a bit of a p**s take but I would really appreciate the answer.

Happy to buy you a virtual pint!!

Thanks and apologies.

There are 2 slots, 1 short one and a longer one, i have mine set up with the longer slot at the rear and also the release levers at the back

From the beginning of the front short slot to the rear of the rear slot is 13 1/2 inches

Front slot total is 2 1/2 inch

Rear slot is 5 1/2 inch

Thanks ever so much crank39.

My MAKITA has holes 8 inches apart so, by my reckoning, it should fit shouldn't it?

I calculate that the non-slotted part must be around 5 and a half inches which means I should be able to get my MAKITA on it.

Thanks again.

I owe you several virtual pints!!

Yep just checked mine again and your spot on

The DE7025 brackets are a bit pricey but if you keep your eye on ebay and buy them as they come up hopefully cheapish then you can bolt them to a variety of tools, i have a few sets, ones bolted to a thicknesser atm

Thanks very much again - you've made my day!

Now all I have to do is find the cheapest supplier............

if you do go second hand on ebay make sure you have the mounting brackets and support brackets included as they cost approching 75-£90 on there own    ;) ;)

Thanks chaps.

Have ordered one from one of my regular power tool suppliers which was the cheapest I could find at £141 all in (That includes all the fittings plus free delivery)

I will be receiving it Monday.

Crank39 et al...

Didn't post an update yesterday as spent all day in the garden to make the most of the good weather [gots absolutely loads to do) therefore I haven't had a chance to set the stand up with my MAKITA.

As promised, it was delivered yesterday albeit I had to go and collect it from the van and carry it across the road and into the house (the broken English speaking delivery driver said he couldn't carry it - strange that I was able to carry it myself easily) so not impressed with the delivery service.

However, I did get a chance to take a look at it and I agree it looks a fantastic bit of kit.

I will post an update in the next few days but I am 'under orders' to get the gardening done before the rain re-appears so won't have a chance to put it together just yet.

:(

Well I finally got the chance to look at everything late today.

Unfortunately, whilst my MAKITA will ine up with the slots in the DEWALT base, the bolts (and slots) are thinner than the holes in the MAKITA.

That leaves me (as I see it) 3 choices:

(a) Bolt my MAKITA on to a ply base (as the DW manual dictates) then affix the ply to the slides on the stand

(b) Use the existing DW bolts but that will mean having to tighten them up against the MAKITA holes so the MAKITA won't move whilst in use

(c) Use some form of sleeving which will fit over the DW bolts and sit tightly in the MAKITA holes

Any ideas/views?

I did want to avoid option (a) but maybe I have no choice??

Can't see the problem really, just use the supplied dewalt bolts and tighten them against the makita base as normal, what sort of movement are you expecting?

Or use the makita bolts and file 2 flats along the thread so they slip into the dewalt slots?
