Hi, My heater temp display often doesnt correspond with my actual room thermometer temp in living room. Yest I set the temp on the heater to 24c, 1 degrees higher than usual, The next morning the room thermometer was showing 18c, the storage heater was just warm and I had to use my convector heater. History shows midnight room temp was 19.8c Max room temp 22.7c minimum 20.7.c It is really a hit and miss with the heat output, sometimes it heats up to 26c when its set for 23c. any ideas what wrong? Also my bedroom one isnt heating up at all. The new heaters were installed in summer to our housing complex but not by Dimplex engineers, and residents have had no end of trouble with them. I know how they work as Ive had similar Creda digital at my last flat and all worked perfectly. Thanks.

Minimum night temperature over 20C is pretty hot. How can you be you sure tne room stat is more accurate than tne rad?

Are they connected to a 24 x 7 power supply?

And have you looked the programmed times and power usage screens?

Thanks for your reply. I put it back to factory reset and it heated up overnight. The heater was very hot to touch next morning. The readings were on 19/11 max and min temp 18.4 c . Its now 26.2 . max core temp 102 on 20/11. I dont have prog times on the screen as it changes automatically.

Thanks for reply. Dimplex manual says place thermometer by skirting board next to radiator. I am wondering as there is another storage heater about 20ft away in the kitchen and the door is always open, if that could be affecting the sensors.

What you should never do with these heaters is turn them off completely until the end of winter
