I checked my area, on the gov site.
In the last week there was 1 person who died within 28 days of a +ve test. With or without a previous condition - unknown. 95% chance with a previous condition of some sort, which may or may not be relevant.
So what's the chance that a person died OF Omicron?
The numbers are dropping as fast as they did in SA.
It would take a first vaccine a couple of weeks to be effective.
Ask your mates about omicron. I hear a few had it, over in a day or two, a couple said it was like flu.
Omicron, we're told, protects (better than delta).
My personal impression is that it's around a lot.
Government "swabbing" predicts 4.3m, but weak cases don't register +ve.
That's a pretty feeble set of arguments for having a vaccine if you're one of the people who have for whatever reason, mostly selfish, said no up to now. Some small number dying of omicron won't bother them in the slightest.

If you are prepared to disclose your jab status then you are opening up pandora's box, since once one piece of medical information is out there then what next?
Would you for example wish an insurance company to know your jab status?
Or the results of any tests taken, regardless of the outcome?
I recall reading that some insurance companies years ago refused cover for people who had taken an Aids test...
Not whether they were infected, but just that they were deemed a 'risk' because they had taken a test...
So what do you think happened to the numbers taking tests, and the resultant added spread of the disease?

You came back with further questions which are not relevant to "how it could be made enforceable".
You wouldn't disclose it, your employer would check your status whether you liked it or not. Here is how it will be handled in the NHS,
"Establishing vaccination status
There are a number of ways in which vaccination status can be obtained:
• Staff can be asked directly about their vaccination status.
• Organisations that have undertaken their own vaccination delivery programme can look up which staff have received vaccinations.
• Central databases that record vaccination data from the national vaccination programme can be used and integrated with staff records.
In order to reduce burdens on organisations and staff, a small number of designated members of staff in organisations (e.g. designated individuals in HR & OD teams) can be given access data about staff which has been recorded on the NHS England National Immunisation System (NIMS) database and linked to the NHS Electronic Staff Record (ESR) number. To be clear, the only clinical information that will be made available to NHS organisations from the national immunisation database is an individual’s COVID-19 vaccination status. By getting this information from NHS England’s immunisation database individuals will not need to provide evidence of their vaccination status, making it easier for both them and their managers"
