Me and my husband watch regularly EE, CS and Emmerdale

Recently the storylines in Emmerdale have become very boring and very exaggerated even for soap standards EH the Meena debacle is very boring now.

CS - The stalking storyline by that woman going into the solicitor's fault, sending them flowers, calls, taking their wifi info and on and on, getting too boring as is the school teacher stories re Max, too boring - considering not watching

EE - just getting back in to it but then finding a woman under the boards for months, too far fetched even for EE

NB: Thinking about it every few months we do get bored with these soaps then comes along a more interesting storyline

Btw - not a soap but stopped watching Homes under de hammer as more of the same **** and too many repeats

Not sure what to watch next

Watch no

but I do listen to the Archers

Hear a lot about them but never ever listened.

I do listen to Smooth London, LBC and talk raido and Mr Steve Right BBC 2 if I'm driving and with the advent of smart speakers easy to channel hop
at home via smart speakers and when working, i do listen to phone-ins and when boring listen to smooth radio and Steve Right and at times J Vine

Btw - watch for about 45 mins Jeremy Vine show at 9-15 channel 5.

I do occasionally watch some of Heartbeat. Annoyingly it's on at the same time as the News. It's not a soap as such because there's so little of storyline continuity.
But I do like to see the old cars, walking into a police station where there's a window direct into the front office, etc. I remember them well. Taking a found 10/ note into the local police station as lost property, and it being entered into a book. I got it back about 3 months later, because it wasn't claimed. :)

We used to watch that years ago and good point re old cars/environment

I watch old episodes of the Sweeny and the Professionals - staggering reminder of no canary Wharf, streets only half full of cars and seeing cars I and my dad used to own.

I long ago stopped watching the soaps when the producers became overly obsessed with chucking in every type of diverse minority. I mean, to my knowledge, we don't have any of them down my street but to watch Eastenders, they make up 70% of the population of the average street.

Nowdays it would be a nine Bob note.

It's a multicultural cosmopolitan world out there.

Thank you for your contribution on this interest thread.

Coloumbo is my fav detective and I pride myself on him

Loved and still do watch The Sweeny, The Professionals and Minder with the older and younger Minder as all three shows takes me back to seeing older streets and especially cars.

I watched Ever Decreasing Circles about a year ago their accents made me cringe.

I also watch Fawlty Towers and must have watched each sow several times like the others above love the old cars no mobile phones etc.

Thanks
