I find them incredibly irritating.


Feeding dogs should be avoided. It is a pointless exercise.

It leads to lots of noise, mess on pavements, having to take out the stupid things to burn off the calories, and ultimately to more dogs and the continuation of pointless feeding.


Chocolate and onions it is.

Never feed dogs: onions, grapes, raisins, sultanas.

My black Lab bitch (5.5yrs) weights 30kg, the vet at every check up says its a good weight. Don't let it gain. So I think your dog is certainly on the low weight side.
As for eating they would eat a whole bag of food if you gave it.
We feed ours on dry food the weight of which is now know on the cup that is used to measure the food out, she occasional has a raw egg including shell.
She eats a carrot a day she looks at this as a treat (all treats come from her food allowance). She eats parsnips, picks her own sprouts & tomatoes, also eats most fruits, loves rice the list just goes on. She eats sugar beet but that can make her sick, its tough when she runs into the fields & gets it.
Saying all the above we buy the cheapest dry food we find, and she is in tip top condition.
