Horrendous things. It’s a wild animal and has no place indoors. Let alone in the presence of a child. If every single dog on the planet died right now i’d be quite happy.

It’s horrible. I can’t even imagine what they are feeling right now. But you are right, WTF were they thinking. It’s not as if they are the first.Stupid parents
I've seen dog attacks on the news on those dogs that have a clamp-like grip and when these dogs get hold of another dog or human, no matter how hard you hit them they wont let go unless you kill them or as good as
In my view any dog can turn, even just on a one off basis. However owners often have different opinions. I recall having a heated discussion with a work colleague who was adamant her dog would never go for anyone. My (in my view logical stance) was you can never make that statement about any animal that has the potential to attack humans. Dogs fit that category
Properly trained dogs will live with children as if they were a family member; protecting, playing and caring.
About 15 years or so ago my friend had a cocker spaniel. Lovely dog, very friendly with other dogs and people. Loved being fussed over. One day he ripped my friends daughters cheek off. She was about 8-9 at the time and swore she had just been sitting there eating her tea when the dog attacked. Dog was immediately taken to the vet and destroyed. Years later she admitted she had been tormenting the dog by holding a piece of cooked chicken in her mouth, when the dog lunged for it she would throw herself back so the dog missed and she would then swallow the meat. Unfortunately the dog got wise to her tricks and lunged sooner than she expected. It got the chicken and her cheek. She needed extensive plastic surgery on her face and has never been near a dog since. Obviously her fault for teasing the dog but could you have trusted the dog again? I think I couldn't because it's natural hunting instincts had been brought to the fore by that act.
We've never kept a dog as we hate the stench
Most dogs don’t smell at all - they are extremely clean animals. Some heavier dogs like labs and retrievers can smell a bit doggy from their coat.
hypoallergenic dog breeds like Cavapoos don’t moult and don’t smell.
