Door hinges not motised in

Sorry, you are someone whom I respect but when have you ever seen a door frame that is designed to take the whole weight of a door via a 2mm by 5mm rebate.

The fact that I need to ask thus question is weird.
The weight is taken by the screws in the hinge whether it’s rebated or not .Thus your comment is very weird.Rebate is around 30mm wide, 2-3 mm deep.Hinge is only cut into the rear of the door so depending on hinge depth only 1-2mm into main frame ( jamb)

They are rebated to avoid the need for trimming the leading edge to enable a close fit .
See pic
The lead edge on a door scribes a larger arc than the rear .
The rebate allows the front edge to swing thru without binding and also allows a close fit at rear edge.

Okay, you are now saying that doors have chamfered edges. door frames or doors?

wow, if you think that screws alone will hold a door in place then you have demonstrated that you should not comment

Perhaps it's also a phone thing - I have the benefit of swiping to zoom and an OLED screen - in my view, I can see the profile that Foxhole shows in #21...

Whatever we may see here, what is obvious is the work hasn't been done particularly well!

I think the diagram I posted is very clear , or can’t you see that either?

The OP photo shows it before it’s finished? Certainly needs the rest of the screws in the hinge and door seal fixed.
