Dpf clean location (Peugeot partner 2018)

So I took it to a garage, they forced a regen and it worked...for about 1mile, lights came back on and went into limp mode, now talking about cleaning the dpf with a can of dpf cleaner and take it from there, if anyone has any other suggestions?

Was still considering cleaning it myself but need to know where it's located to spray the cleaning solution into, I've been told that it's at the front, cat converter/dpf, located sensor, unplug and remove nut to put tube in n and spray dpf spray foam, leave yo soak and take for a drive next day..
If a regen hasn't worked, why would you think a can of spray will ?

I've given my best advice already

Look on youtube, loads of videos on cans of squirty stuff, professional cleans, diy cleans on the car and off the car. I wouldn't do it on the car ;) either diy or professionally.

Carmen, going to take some of your advice, decided not to go with cleaning the dpf as it's not directly indicating that's it's the dpf but it's saying risk of particle filter blockage.
Garage will have a look, so I'll give an update later.

Thanks all for advice so far .

Going to take some of your advice and pass it onto the garage,

Just trying to diagnose the issue without having to take to the garage,
The first garage I took it to forced a regen and now I'm slightly worried that that was a mistake going by what Stevie says, then the garage says he can spray it with dpf foam cleaner which you are saying is a waste of time/money and what I was going to do in the first place.
Taking to another garage who will have a look, so I'll give an update later.

Thanks all for advice so far

Ask that garage that said he will use spray cleaner, what guarantee you get ? I bet it's none.

He is likely to say, it should work, but might need further work if it doesnt

That's exactly why I'm not going back to him, £40 for a forced regen that didn't work and then suggests using can of cleaner like I was going to do, if you go to a garage you expect them to know more than you do to I fix the problem.

Just dropped van off to another garage who I'm confident will sort it, says if there is an error that indicates dpf issue + engine management light, not to ignore it, either a sensor issue or possible chemical clean of dpf, but he'll find the issue.

Sounds like 2nd garage knows what it is doing.

Assuming they give a guarantee

Why not put your money into getting it " mapped out " your engine will thank you for it !

Why ?

Do you think after market mapping is better for the engine than it's designed parameters ? Why ?

So a quick update, at this moment in time the van is running.
Took it to a garage that I was confident they would find the issue and sort it out to then get a potential bill of £3000, £1400 for a new dpf as they said omissions were passing through it meaning it wasn't doing its job and around £1600 for a new turbo, something to do with end stops and they had difficulty getting off and maybe this model you can't, even though the turbo itself was running fine.

So as soon as I heard this I got onto the phone to the guy I bought it off, he has his own mechanic and said to bring it to him..after a few days of going over it his mechanic realised that the pat additive for the dpf was empty, so hoping that was all it needed to clear up issue with dpf, he reckons that it wasn't coming up as a warning light because if it was done before they didn't programme it in so I that could let you know if it was low or empty next time.
He also replaced the actuator for the turbo and now all seems good..will be doing a 200mile trip up north tomorrow so If I get through that with no issues then I'll be comfortable knowing it's okay.

Very pleased to hear you are getting somewhere!
I know if you replenish Eloys fluid the vehicle has to be informed of this, but with Adblue you just top it up from time to time or when it tells you to.
My little Pug Bipper has just put its management lamp on......it was a MAP sensor last time, only 6 months ago so gawd knows what it is now.
My scanner is on loan too!

If it's not one thing it's another, if it wasn't for my job I'd do without one and get a bicycle, just throwing good money after bad sometimes.

Hope it's not a costly fix for you.

Thanks!
I’ll post back once I get my scanner back. At least the van got the MOT 2 weeks ago so no real pressure.
