I have the below drainage nightmare below my kitchen window:

The lefthand pipe is from the roof guttering, the top pipe from the kitchen sink and the pipe on the right is the waste from the washing machine. Whenever water starts flowing, instead of it flowing nicely down the drain, it leaks out of the opening where the guttering pipe enters on the left and soaks into the earth which is clearly not ideal. I feel like that entrance should possibly be sealed partially, or that the waste pipe should by adjusted so it is higher and pours in from the top. Can that brown plastic drain inlet be removed and replaced with something more fit for purpose? Does anyone have any details on the particular drain inlet (not sure on the offical name) I have installed? All looks a bit of a bodge job...thanks!

Oh, do you mean the water from the drain pipe is flowing back outside where the pipe for the gutter enters?

Does the water from the sink waste leaks out from there too?

Looks partially blocked, the sink waste looks like it goes in quite a bit and the gutter downspout is jutting out too. Not seen that type of gully before, looks odd.

Yes, sorry I wasn't clear - the water is escaping out through where the gutter waste enters. I wondered if I might be in the market for a new plastic trap?

I'm pretty sure it isn't blocked - have placed my hand in the section that feeds down into the drain and there is no sitting water in there. Could this maybe just be a slightly odd gully paired with some suspect pipe work?
