Is it ok if the new inhibitor mixes with any left over inhibitor in the system.? Though dont know if any was in originally. Also is it ok to start draining down. Then go back the next night to repair. The heating and hot water arent working at the momment as no ones living in the house

Yes;
Yes.
While you're at it, drain down and let fresh water into the system while ur draining for a while to give it a flush. Mains or F&E tank.

My god. This many problems draining it down. Can you imagine the problems when he tries to refill it?
Two pages and running on how to repair a split pipe. Troll.

Noted. But then again, how many pages did it take the bible to tell us 10 things we should and shouldn't do! :whistle::)

"Though shalt not run waste pipes uphill" - That one was mistyped in Eastern Europe!

I just wondered sorry. The section of pipe work is on a drop with no drain off on so will drain through the rad on that drop.

Not trolling just after as much info as possible

why not use the search facility or google to find out the answers to the inane questions you ask? we are happy to help you but nobody is going to wipe your bum just because you can't be bothered to look for yourself first. if you are asking this type of question then you really should not contemplate doing the job. do you have the tools? why would you have the tools and then ask such ridiculous questions about how to drain a pipe?
people are not going to take you seriously and you are abusing the spirit of the forum by not trying to help yourself before asking others for help. hence my troll remark.
will you be posting a thread on how to refill the system? and another on how to get the inhibitor into the system?
