I have both anyway but according to the Essex Police, I don’t actually need a flyer ID because my drone is under 250g. I only needed an operator ID as it has a camera.

240g with the battery. The other two batteries are the same weight. I think you’re getting confused with the mini 4K and the mini 4 Pro. Extended capacity batteries can be bought for the mini 4 Pro (but not the mini 4K) and they take it over the 250g weight and into another class of drone. Flyer ID's are compulsory for drones over that weight.
Might be having my first outside flight today. Going to take it with me when I walk the dog and if it’s not to windy, up it will go!

You get to learn very quickly that the wind is very different the higher you go as opposed to ground level.
I have the earlier version with extended batteries and it comes in at 265gm.
Then up to 275gm with landing struts, motor covers and strobe.
Had to get both licences anyway as the pro 2 comes in at just under 1kg.
And as matty said, some people can get annoyed even when you are using it correctly.
I always carry a double sided laminated card size copy with each license, and it works wonders showing something people can see is official.
I've even had people asking to watch it on the tablet screen I use, which is btw a lot better than a phone screen.
I did well, no major incidents although when I was taking it up to 120m, I got a red warning on the screen at just over the 100m mark telling me about high winds so I dropped it back down. Had a couple of flights both of about 10 minutes going just over 500m away and made the same error both times - I forgot to stop the video before switching it off so it didn’t save the video.
Right, one more go outside checking my gutters and then it’s being wrapped up for my birthday.

Might be worth pulling the card out and seeing if there is anything on it using a computer - quite likely it has written frames to memory but switching it off didn't give it chance to close the file off properly, write the headers(summary) etc. May be possible to recover the video by using a repair tool that will write the missing summary info that the file format demands to make it valid
I did check it and there was one fire on there. I started to transfer it but it was too large and not that interesting so I reformatted the card.
Gutters will need a clean out next year - trouble is we have a ground floor front extension and I can’t get up there with ladders. Not urgent yet so I can leave it for a while.
Had another play with it up and down the street and sent it probably 400 meters away to look at some building work being done on a roof locally. Sun was in my eyes and I lost sight of it! Activated the return to home mode and started scanning the skies. No sign of it so a bit of mild panic set in. Couldn’t hear it either. I put the camera down to 90°….and saw myself underneath it - it had come back at the RTH setting of 40m high and was just starting to descend. Phew! I had a little low level play on my drive then sent it up my side drive at a very low level. It was getting near to my side wall so I pushed the control left but it went right and crashed into my wall. No damage done thankfully. I started it up again in my garden and was playing about and did the same thing again. Again, no damage as it hit a bush. What I was doing wrong was forgetting which way it was facing so of course, when I pushed left, it went right! I must remember that. Anyway, I heard that it’s not best to leave the batteries fully charged so I ran the batteries down by just leaving it hovering on the middle of my garden. I ran one battery right down to see if it would land and it did. I ran the other two batteries down to about 15% as well as the battery in the handset. That’s it until my birthday. Going to watch some more videos now…..
