My lighting circuit is a 10A circuit
I am looking for a dummy dimmer module but all the ones I see are only rated for 6Amp or 8 Amp.
I presume I need a 10 Amp rated module and would anyone know if a 10A dummy dimmer exists ?

I presume you won't be switching over 10 amps with it? 1 or 2 lights maybe?
The 6 amp will be fine.

Yes one or two lamps, I was just wondering if it had to be 10A because that's what the protection on the circuit is - read something about all devices having to be rated for the circuit rating.

Thanks - I found one described below.
What does offset spindle mean ?

Do I need to match the faceplate with the switch module or are different brands interchangeable?

A 6 amp type B MCB will allow 30 amps before the magnetic part trips, it will in fullness of time trip at 6 amp with the thermal part, but I found with tungsten lamps if on failing you got ionisation it seemed to take the dimmer switch with it every time.

I suspect, even with a 1 amp fuse, it would still take out the dimmer, so no point in worrying about it.

It's a dummy dimmer.
