Oops sorry misread. Now understand that you want the terminal block in the shower and was not the referring to terminals in the switch. Still 60A block would be fine.

Hi,

I didn't realise but, as I was ordering a pack of 60A TB from screw fix today I was told that there was a branch just around the corner so, popped in lunchtime.

Bonkers thing is tho, I thought that there would be 10 blocks per strip so I was ordering one block, wrong! I now have 10 strips of 12, jeeeez, I only needed 2! They will be going on eBay then

It looks like it will fit, it isn't much bigger than the one taken out, have stripped back the cable past the damaged live too now so will connect up in a mo.

Thanks for all the responses and help.

Hi,

In the interests of helping anyone else one day who may find this thread and find that it matches their problem but they never knew the outcome....

I changed the terminal block and cut back the cables, removing the charred/burnt plastic from the copper before reseating the clean, shiny copper connections but the shower remained dead.

Unfortunately no sign of life at the shower so I decided to replace it and I now have a working shower again.

So, in this instance it wasn't a nice, straightforward fix sadly but worth a go.

Thanks for help and interest.

All us sparks will not be able to sleep tonight wondering what it was.... ;)

Awwww no fair heh heh.

Seemed lots of entries about "just replace the terminal blocks" and you'll be fine but on this occasion it was kaput, dead, gone, it was no more!

Didn't want anyone to think its going to be simple every time, I hoped it would be but ah well, learnt something new
:D
