Maybe footballers should stick to winning games and leave the politics to the pundits?

I think that was said about the Knee bending when it was first started. That said and done; they did stand then kneel against racism.

Do you now not agree with Knee bending?

Gareth Southgate expanded Knee Bending to other things like Woman's rights... as if Knee bending was his invention and his right to tweak.

Perhaps all of them Iranian players don’t have family back in Iran ?

Don't you think they are Brave. And the people taking to the streets are brave?
One yellow card and Harry bottled it.

That exactly what I'm saying......

I wouldn't go there and complain I simply would not have went.

Harry Kane however told us they would go and educate.

Southgate said would wear a gay pride colourful armband "one love" this would cover
Death of migrants
Women's rights
Gay love
And anything else we could think of.

In the Meantime the Iranian national team made a real protest that echoed the bravery of the people back home in Iran.

England however buckle and bend their knee against American police brutality & racism. Nosey claims the knee bending means so much more.
He won't list what.

Wasn't the colourful arm band supposed to do that?
Gay rights are not universal and therefore not human rights. That's just the west imposing it's historical backdrop onto humanity, hijacking these institutions to impose their standard. and if we can impose our standard onto them, then why can't they impose their standard onto us ? Muslims believe in sharia, do you want that imposed on you ? You might contest it, but that's aside the point, they deem it as correct and true.
It's ever so convenient that you get to define the language, and the terms, and everyone must then play on those terms, but the moment it is someone else playing the same game, it's an aberration. I'm afraid the world doesn't see eye to eye on this with you, and this whole human rights BS is more so about ideology than it is about humanity.
With that said, there are things people can agree on - racism, genocide etc etc but these are unequivocally obvious - feminism and homosexuality on the other hand are far more nuanced, some will accept them, others won't - get over it.

I'm not saying being gay is wrong I don't have much of an opinion on it. Who am I to say it's wrong I certainly don't think it should be illegal. If you are gay don't go to countries that forbid it.
England have made it an issue and have then backed down.

My main concern on the subject is the lives of the 6500 that have died and their families..

Do you think the players should protest or shouldn't protest? One minute you're all for it the next you are all against it. Confused - for a friend.

I don't think they should be there...... they said you have to go to protest (I disagree) but they buckled at the first hurdle....

Alex Scott however didn't buckle and wore the Armband. She needs to be careful. But she's brave

Does Alex know you can get yellow carded for that? The rest of the England team did. Very brave considering you could get sent off for another infraction.

I presume those criticising the England team for removing armbands will also be criticising Boris Johnson for this:

If they believe in the eradication of racism then they shouldn't be there.
The arm band was another virtual signaling empty gesture

Did you see that bbc interview a few weeks ago on the Ukraine front line, and the cool Ukrainian soldier smoking that big cigar, unflinching as the bombs were going off ? ... That wasn't Harry Kane

Strange comparison

Nobody has said that bending the knee will result in yellow card or anything else that will affect the event.

What I mean is, don't criticise players for breaking rules if it will jeopardize our team's performance in the World Cup. Yes, Iran protested, but they weren't told that if they don't sing they will get a yellow card.
