EU Elections 2019

Boris is a shameless, deceitful liar.

He is not pro-Brexit. He is pro-Boris. Whatever will win him a fleeting advantage.

One of the advantages of having him as the next, temporary, tory PM is that he will promise the Brextremists a glorious deal full of unicorns and sunny uplands. Then, when he discovers (as he already knows) that it is impossible, he will pretend it was a great shock to him, and reverse direction with no embarrassment.

Some of the tories will actually believe him.

Tories can win the next election easy - just go hard on Brexit - the right wingers and Ukippers will return and the staunch remainers will put party before country and grudgingly vote Tory.

Blair is not standing for next temporary leader of the tory party, so he is irrelevant.

Labour only option is to become the party of remain and hope that if there is a GE the demographics swing into their favour or they will be toast. Labour has lost the labour leave vote so they might as well buttress their remain vote and win some wavering remainers.

Labour should push to remain and reformt the EU - whilst the Tory should push the unicorn of a hard brexit - whichever appeals to voters.

It's a nice distraction from the horror cuts and austerity and is the only chance the Torys have of regaining a majority.

Do you think the Tories will adopt such a manifesto that will see them out of office?
