Well, if that was the case and we could issue visas for a week that’d be no problem. Similarly, job offer with a work permit. That’s what other countries do and they’re not being bled dry. Try and do what many Europeans do to us in the USA or China for example and you’ll be back on the plane pretty smartish.

Why do some over here feel it’s a not problem to let any person into this country just because they’re in the European Union. Why shouldn’t they have to prove they have the means to support themselves once they are over here?

What a brilliant idea!

So, after the week is up, when the tourist does not return to the airport to go home, what do you do? How do you find them when they have moved to new accommodation?

This is the problem, and a problem that cannot be fixed with new policies. If somebody wants to be here illegally, they just don't go home. But, most people chose to go home, because for most people, especially most Europeans, they want to go home as soon as they have earned enough.

And the same does happen everywhere, we are not unique.

Brexit won't stop immigration, it will reduce trade and probably reduce tourism. Hey ho. If we leave, we won't really know the impact until a year or two later, after the summer tourism season, and after all the businesses have filed their tax returns.

Might be a good time to snap up some cheap B&Bs, but be quick, before the Chinese and Russian investors by them all.
