Euro 2024

The England team boasts a number of grossly over paid , tax dodging footballers.

To win England would need to play each and every game like the French - by coming on the pitch and wanting to win from the front

I’m not holding my breath

The flower of Scotland was well and truly plucked last night. All over by half-time. How did Bubi know? Hope the elephant knows how to shoot straight to give England a boost tomorrow.

tax dodging
Tax dodging. A phrase used often by JohnD for people with more money than him although he's never answered my question about his definition of 'tax dodging'. I asked him whether he meant tax avoiding or tax evading but of course, the super investor clams up when asked such questions. If it’s tax avoidance we're all guilty of that by using our tax free personal, dividend and savings allowances, investing in ISA's and other perfectly legal and allowable means. What is your definition of 'tax dodging'?

It's already kicked off in Gelsenkirchenurkennn...

Shortly after 3.30pm local time, tens of Serbs standing outside a bar on Arminstraße in central Gelsenkirchen were targeted with projectiles, according to witnesses to the violence. An England fan and one police officer have been left with heavy head wounds after hooligans attacked a bar where Serbia supporters were drinking the game.

About 30,000 fans have turned up for the game but only around 20,000 have tickets. Pity the barstaff in the town tonight.

Nope, strange. Those that use the term 'tax dodging' about other people never seem to want to say what their definition of it is.

Strange that nobody that freely uses the term 'tax dodging' when talking about others never seem to be willing to say what their actual definition of 'tax dodging' is.

Is it something to do with the ability to talk about a completely different subject to the topic of the thread?
I know you're not much of a footie fan, supporting West Ham an' all, but give it a go and at least throw a line about the match in somewhere, eh.

Have a word with that bloke who made post #6 and see what he has to say about keeping the thread on topic.

I have and he says it was a reply to J.Park - what's your story?
A question to Murdochat, who brought 'tax dodging' into the thread. Couldn’t you follow that?

I don't think the government promotes tax avoidance in the way it does ISA’s

It wouldn’t do. ISA's are a way of encouraging a lot of less well-off people to save for their old age and if you’ve got savings when you need care……..

After last nights strange combination of sheer talent and nervousness, sadly it’s likely curtains for England by the quarter finals at the latest. But Southgate's management style is something our politicians could learn from instead of driving division through disasters like brexhit.

Then why quote yourself to follow-up on the matter - what was it you said about people who did that?
