Listen up . The UK is a Parlimentary democracy they can stop this Brexit caper at any time ,
They can if they defy the whip and risk their front bench position or even their party membership, or their party being in power, or another leadership contest, or a general election.
Now which is more important to a politician, their job, their party support, their party being in power, or their conscience, or even the majority opinion of their constituency?

Hmmmm speak up

+ 1 Nicola Sturgeon.

I do wish she would stop banging the independence drum.....Scotland did pretty well out of the Barnet formula, I dont think many in Scotland want independence. Ironic anyway, we want independence form UK but want to be part of Europe....yeah ok love.

1.6 million. 45% of those that voted.

That was in the first referendum, the interest is less now and NS is losing ground as a politician, too much effort being put into independence not enough into education, health service and the tax rise isnt too popular among middle classes.

Incidentally, some may have realised that TM delayed the UK's 'paper' for EU negotiations to be delayed until after this week's parliamentary debates about the great divorce bill.
Taoiseach (Irish prime minister) Leo Varadkar has expressed disappointment that the UK government's white paper on Brexit will not be published prior to a crunch EU summit in Brussels.

Prime Minister Theresa May said it would not be available in time for the key meeting later this month.

More than likely it is a cynical attempt to keep Parliament in the dark, especially during this weeks debates.
Had that paper been provided, as it was intended and promised, parliament would be debating from a more enlightened position.

You sound like Hawkeye, having the mood and temperature of the Scots.
How about providing your source material for your claim to know the mood of the Scots.
Or are you just making wild claims again?

Speak Up  Hmmmm let me think R bee that's a difficult question  Hmmmm there Job

Fact is if they believe the country is going to be damaged they should vote to remain in the EU or have a vote of no confidence in the government

A majority of Scots think they would be worse off economically if independant: (dont knows removed)

32% think Scotland woild do better
52% think Scotland would be worse off.

Yup, the mood of Scotland is, better off staying part of UK.

Lets see you interprete that statement as a 'wild claim' (y)

Talk about squirming and goalpost shifting.
Eeyore makes a wild claim about what he claims to know how Scots feel about independence, then when his wild claim is proven without a shadow of doubt that his wild claim is preposterous, he squirms and moves the goalposts and changes his argument to one about whether they would be better off or not.
Blathering idiot!
What is the point trying to hold a discussion with a blathering idiot like eeyore!
Other than to repeatedly prove his wild claims and demonstrate what a blathering idiot he is.
Next thing you know is he will be basing his opinion on the popularity of the LR Discovery on one person's opinion and ignoring the motoring press!
It looks like he was scouring the internet for 12 hours looking for something, anything to try to save face. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Even then, you fail to interpret your findings correctly. You blatantly ignore the 'don't knows' and the 'no change' in order to skew your claim.
You also misinterpret the question, "in the short term", and you refer the question to the Scots personal circumstances rather than the economic growth of Scotland:

You really are a prize blathering idiot, and these recent comments of yours illustrate it exactly!

I see you've added misogyny to your list of objectionable traits...

But do remind us.

Before the independence vote, which political party/side of the argument claimed that the only way for Scotland's membership of the EU to be protected was to vote no?

Talk about squirming and goalpost shifting.

Aaaaaahhhh bless, poor old Wannabe...give him a cuddle somebody :ROFLMAO:

He says I've made a 'wild claim' by saying that Scotland don't want another referendum..............and instead of posting some proof he posts a load of insults and waffle....or as he likes to call it: squirming and goal shifting.

Come on then, where is your proof?......Oh that's right, you don't have any :ROFLMAO:

apparently the fact a majority of people think Scotland would be worse off not being part of the UK, has no correlation to wanting independence. I suppose a right Numpty might not appreciate the connection (n).

Oh dear you are getting desperate aren't you :ROFLMAO:

objectionable traits (y) .....yeah ok, have a look at your post history, continuous insults about other people, on your posts....trying to make up for your weak responses. Ad homs attacks: its what you are....some might thats an objectionable trait.

Have you worked out yet why you so many of your posts have got deleted and you've been locked out of threads....D'oh!:D
